What is the purpose of photosynthesis?
Photosynthesis exists in plants to turn sunlight, water, and carbon dioxide into glucose to be used to make energy. This allows plants to make their own food so that they don't have to eat other organisms.
What happens in photosynthesis?
In the process of photosynthesis, plants take in sunlight, carbon dioxide, and water. This goes into the chloroplasts in the leaves of the plant. The chlorophyll in the chloroplasts help this process. The sunlight, carbon dioxide, and water that the plant takes in are turned into glucose and oxygen.
